At Trifecta Weight Loss Coaching, we take a triad approach to weight loss focussed on  food, fitness and feelings. We help you develop effective strategies to master healthy eating and effective exercise while reframing the emotions enmeshed with food. Our expert will work with you to create a plan tailored to your needs and goals.

Trifecta Weight Loss Coaching uses a  comprehensive  approach to weight loss.  We take a deep dive into the connection between  food, fitness, and feelings, hence the name Trifecta. The food we eat, our fitness routines, and our feelings/emotions all affect our weight.  We focus on managing the food/fitness/feelings tapestry

By my mid-thirties, I was morbidly obese at 310 lbs. I set a goal to be "Fit by 40" Like most people I'd lost and regained weight over and over and over. I committed to  a comprehensive approach on my 37th birthday. I employed help from a nutritionist, a fitness trainer, and a psychologist.  When I reached my 40th birthday, I had lost over 150 pounds. I have maintained that weight loss for over ten years.  How? By flanking the causes of obesity on ALL sides: food, fitness, and feelings. Now I help other people do what I did by educating them on the food they eat, the best way to condition their bodies, and exploring the feelings that drive our eating behavior. 


You will have a dedicated coach to keep you accountable, help you develop strategies for the toughest situations, and guide you on the path to long-term weight-loss. You won't ever be alone in your journey.  Your coach will be available to you 7 days per week via email/text.

Weekly you and Alena will meet in person or via Zoom to:

  • learn about how food affects our bodies. topics include: macronutrients, Glycemic Index, Ending the Yo-yo diet cycle.
  • discuss which type of exercise is most effective for you.
  • review nutrition/exercise/feelings from the past week.  
  •  discuss and reframe feelings associated with food
  • We will set specific goals with actionable steps for the upcoming week


The comprehensive approach is what makes Trifecta Coaching different.  Our eating and exercise patterns are deeply rooted in our mental state, emotions, customs, habits, etc.  We will address and reframe the feelings we have towards food leading to changes in behavior leading to long-term success. Also, your Trifecta Coach will never try to "sell' you anything, ie supplements, shakes, etc.  At Trifecta Coaching, our only goal is to educate you on the best way to nourish your body with food, condition your body with moderate exercise, and reframe emotions towards food that affect eating/exercise habits.

  • Consistent attendance to our Weekly individual sessions
  • Make physical/mental health a priority. Make a commitment to yourself to make better choices for a better life.


In a safe space your Trifecta coach Will:

  • Coach you on your weight-loss journey by providing Nutritional and Fitness Education during weekly sessions
  • Assist you in developing strategies for challenging eating situations (parties, restaurants, etc)
  • Provide accountability,  support and understanding 


A Trifecta Coach can NOT 

  • Diagnose or Treat medical conditions or mental disorders
  • Diagnose or Treat eating disorders
  • Design specific meal plans

The Initial Consultation is free of charge with no obligation.  After that, Private Weekly sessions are typically 30-60 minutes in duration at a rate of $50 per session.

Payment via Venmo, Zelle, or cash is expected at the time of each session. Weight-loss Results are not guaranteed.  Funds paid to Alena Shifrin for nutrition coaching sessions are not refundable. 


 A comprehensive program with the aim of permanent lifestyle changes requires consistent meetings for at least 3 months


Yes, Calorie Reduction, Diet changes, and exercise all carry risks to your health and safety.  Client acknowledges and accepts risks inherent with nutrition changes and exercise.  Client agrees to maintain licensed medical physician supervision throughout the nutrition/fitness coaching process.


No, you do not need a gym membership to work with Trifecta Weight Loss Coaching. We can provide guidance on at-home workouts and exercises that require minimal equipment. If you prefer to work out at a gym, we can also provide recommendations for local facilities and trainers. 


If you are committed to the process but not financially able to pay $50 per session, let Alena know. The weekly fee can be reduced if it financially burdens you.

For your first visit we get to know each other. Light and easy discussion with no obligation. We discuss where you are on your weightloss journey. I explain how I can help you achieve your goals. If you choose to avail my services we schedule your first coaching session.

WeightLoss Coaching Session (Virtual or InPerson)

$50

Private Coaching session. Through affirming discussion we will evaluate your nutrition, fitness, and feelings. We will discuss victories (scale and non-scale) from the past week. We will discuss pitfalls and strategies to overcome them in the coming week. Every session will leave you with tools and methods for achieving your goals!

Body Composition Scan

$30

Easy non-invasive scan to precisely measure fat, muscle, and water levels. You will be fully clothed, with no dunking, no pinching, no claustrophobic enclosure. Simply standing barefoot while holding the handles for just under one minute. The detailed precise scientific results will be interpreted and explained and expert suggestions given. You will leave knowing how your fitness/nutrition efforts are progressing and where you should focus going forward
